Font - My daughter (14) has been begging me to buy her a pet so a couple of weeks ago I bought her a pet rabbit. She LOVES it and takes it everywhere with her

Font - The problem started when she went to her mom's home and took the rabbit with her. Apparently her half brother is allergic to it. 2 nights ago my daughter called me and asked me to bring her back home. Apparently her mom tried to convince her to return the rabbit because of her brother and they got into an argument over this and when she refused to let her return the rabbit, her mom asked her to send the rabbit to my home and never bring it to her home again and my daughter told her that s

Font - Yesterday my ex called me and asked me to bring my daughter back. I told her that my daughter has refused to go there without her rabbit so unless she will let her bring her rabbit, my daughter stays here. She thinks my daughter and I are both assholes

Font - runedued 21 hr. ago Supreme Court Just-ass [110] ● YTA, not your daughter. You have shared custody. That means the rules in each house applies to only that house. You are entitled to keep the rabbit but you cannot force your baby's mom to take in that rabbit.

Font - It feels as though you are enjoying using the rabbit to drive a wedge between the two. Did you even consult or at least, give a heads up to the mom? Be an adult.

Font - IllustriousWitness63 19 hr. ago Nowhere did OP specify the state of custody in this post. OP could have full custody while their ex has only visitation, they could have joint custody, the situation changes drastically depending on the state of this.

Font - WishBear19 18 hr. ago It really doesn't matter. The pet should have never been brought to the other parent's house (unless the parents explicitly said they don't mind). The dad should have planned to cover all the care for the pet when his daughter is at her mom's.

Font - Impossible_Cherry_76. 16 hr. ago Would OP have done the same if it was a cat or a dog, just ship it off to moms without a prior conversation? OP is definitely the AH for expecting his ex to take care of another living being without agreeing to it.

Font - YukiXain 10 hr. ago Not to mention they JUST GOT IT. Small animals like that stress insanely easy, she shouldn't be taking it anywhere until it's settled. Too much stress can quite literally kill a rabbit.

Font - fender8421 13 hr. ago Partassipant [1] Yeah I thought this post was going to be his ex asking him to get rid of the pet, when in reality she's literally just asking to not have it come to her house, which is 1000% reasonable

Font - Prudent_Plan_6451 18 hr. ago And if it is being taken everywhere it is probably one stressed out and terrified little bunny! Rabbits are high maintenance pets but OP and child are both treating it like it's a toy. YTA.
